‘Chubzilla’ Readies For 2005 Campaign

World of Outlaw Late Model Series ‘Dirty Dozen’ star driver Chub Frank, known affectionately by his multitude of fans as ‘Chubzilla’ has had a busy off-season as Chub Frank Racing gears up for the start of the 2005 racing season. Chubzilla is “fired up” about the prospect of the 2005 season. He will once again be driving his Lester Buildings/ Corry Rubber/Allstar Performance/Rocket Chassis/Slavic Custom T-Shirts/Farr MotorSports/ Chevrolet Monte Carlo #1*. Chubzilla is anxiously awaiting the release of the ’05 WoO LMS schedule. 

“Our new Lester Building has been constructed and the concrete has been poured,” informed Frank. The racing shop of Chub Frank Racing was completely destroyed early last year from a devastating fire that broke out and burned the facility to the ground. “I can’t say enough about Lester Buildings stepping up and helping us out as a sponsor for the team, but also for this immaculate building and shop. They are really a first class company with first class products.” 

The team is awaiting word from Lester Buildings on what their 2005 concepts may be for the team that will enable the team to further firm up their 2005 plans.       

As Chubzilla awaits the release of the 2005 WoO LMS schedule Frank, with the assistance of crew chief Rick ‘Boom’ Briggs, have constructed new Rocket Chassis cars in preparation for the new WoO LMS campaign. “The hauler is almost done down at Wildside in Tennessee,” said Frank. “We’re just putting together the final things to get ready for the new season.” 

Frank is also excited about the prospect of competing before national television cameras when the SPEED channel telecasts 15 WoO LMS events. “This will be a great deal for everyone,” commented Frank. “I’m glad the 2004 season is over and we’re looking at 2005 with a lot of excitement and anticipation. We’re fired up, we’re really fired up and are expecting a great season and I can’t wait to get to Florida.” 

Chubzilla and his wife Mary also recently accompanied Boom & Sheri Briggs on a Cruise With The Champions cruise. Briggs was awarded with a free cruise as part of his Crew Chief of the Year Award and honors bestowed on him at the WoO LMS Awards Banquet.
