ChubZilla visits Michigan

After have a one-week break from The World of Outlaw Late Model 2005 tour, Chub and his Lester Building Products, Corry Rubber, All Star Performance, Corry Laser, Slavic Corporation, Farr MotorSports, Rocket Chassis Monte Carlo #1* team and the World of Outlaws Stacker 2® Late Model Series traveled for their first appearance in Ohio in 2005 for the $10,000 to win “Outlaw Night 60 present by The University of Northwestern Ohio” at Limaland Motosports Park in Lima, OH. Shortly after arriving a power failure occurred, the result from severe weather forced postponement of the Friday night event for the World of Outlaws Stacker 2® Late Model Series sanctioned event. Officials of the WoO Stacker 2® Late Model Series and Limaland Motorsports Park will search for a possible reschedule date.

Butler Battlegrounds

Shortly after the postponed Lima event Chub and team traveled to Quincy, Michigan for the scheduled "Wolverine Nationals 50" paying $10,000 to win at The Butler Battlegrounds sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Stacker 2® Late Model Series.

The 1* team led by Boom Briggs unloaded the Lester Building Products, Corry Rubber, All Star Performance, Corry Laser, Slavic Corporation, Farr MotorSports, Rocket Chassis Monte Carlo #1* for the first time in Michigan for tonight’s event. Over 50 race teams signed in for "Wolverine Nationals 50". Chubzilla qualified 20^th during time trials and scored a second in the second heat race. When the main event rolled around Chubzilla started 8^thand worked his way into 6^th on a one lane race track when the checkered flag flew on the 50^th lap. Clint Smith won with Darren Miller in second Rick Eckert was third followed by Tim McCreadie, Josh Richards and Chub.
