Bear Lake, PA – Chub and the 1* team made the 8 hour trip down to the Southern most part of Ohio to Portsmouth Raceway Park Saturday, as P.R.P. owners Boone, Joyce, Tim Coleman along with promoter Max Warnock, presented the $10,000 to win "Dupont-Auto Value-Barbour Auto Parts 100". Chub the Three-time defending Renegade DirtCar Racing Series champion leads the winner’s list in series action at P.R.P. with six victories. In addition, Saturday's stop at P.R.P., the 31st RDRS sanctioned event at the semi-banked 3/8ths mile track.

Chub began the night by qualifying the 1* Corry Rubber, Corry Laser, Nystrom's Auto Sales, Draime Racing Engines, Rocket Chassis, Pierotti Motorsports, Farr MotorSports Chevrolet Monte Carlo in 16th out of over 41 cars and drivers that were signed in for the “Dupont-Auto Value-Barbour Auto Parts 100”. Chub lined up for the 3rd heat race on the pole and got spun out and had to go to the tail end for the restart. Chub battled back to finish in 4th locking him into the 16th starting position for the main event.

Rod Conley and Rob Blair occupied the front row for the start of the race with Blair leading Conley, R.J. Conley, Barry Bragdon and Kenny Christy at the end of the first lap. A rain shower then fell over the speedway bringing out the caution flag on lap 4 and eventually the red flag when the rain made the surface unsafe for racing. After a 56 minute rain delay the race got back underway with Blair, Rod Conley, R.J. Conley, Bragdon and Lanigan holding down the top five spots with Balzano now sixth ahead of John Mason, Delmas Conley, Aaron Bapst and Chub.

Blair pulled away from Conley on the double-file restart with Mason quickly moving into fifth only to have Lanigan return the favor two laps later. D. Conley, Bapst and Christy got together in turn one but kept their cars going with Bapst falling a lap down to Blair while Balzano had exploded into third. With lap 8 in the books Bragdon spun in turn four collecting D. Conley to bring out the caution. Blair again pulled away from Rd. Conley once the green flag replaced the yellow but Balzano was on the move grabbing second from Rd. Conley on lap 9. Balzano pulled to within a car length of Blair by lap 13 with Chub now up to fifth. Balzano ducked underneath of Blair in turn two to snare the lead and began to pull away from the field. Chub the Three-time defending Renegade DirtCar Racing Series champion continued his drive for four consecutive titles Saturday pocketing the $10,000 to win "Dupont-Auto Value-Barbour Auto Parts 100" at Portsmouth Raceway Park. Chub used lapped traffic to grab the lead from Mike Balzano in turn two while working lap 74. Once in front, Chub sliced his way through the lapped traffic grabbing his 6^th win of the season. Balzano, who started tenth and had led from lap 15 until ChubZilla took the lead, finished four car lengths behind. Rob Blair, the race leader for the first 14 circuits, wound up third with Rod Conley fourth and R.J Conley, the last car on the lead lap, fifth. Completing the top ten finishers were Darrell Lanigan in sixth Steve Lucas seventh Jackie Boggs, Bart Hartman and Eddie Carrier Jr., Chub also received "Hard Charger of the Race" for coming from 16^th to 1^st.
