Chub and Lester Buildings Travel to“The Hoosier State”

Atlanta, GA. – Chub Frank and the newly sponsored and lettered Lester Building 1* team made their first appearance in the Hoosier state of southern Indiana at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana. After a tough week of preparing and changing cars and motors around as well as getting the car all lettered up with the Lester Buildings logos Chub and the entire team left on Friday for The World of Outlaw 10 day tour thru Indiana, Illinois, North Dakota and Iowa.

On Saturday night Chub unloaded the 1* Lester Building rocket at Tri-State Speedway for qualifying, 26 cars were on hand. Chub finished 6th in the first heat race which put him starting 16th in the main event, Chub quietly worked his way into the top 10 and finished in 8th place behind Dale McDowell, 2. Billy Moyer 3. Scott Bloomquist, 4th Rick Eckert, 5th Scott James, 6th Mike Balzano, 7th Bart Hartman, 9th went to Tim McCreadie and 10th was Darrell Lanigan. The 2004 World of Outlaw points chase is getting real interesting with Chub in 6th and only 40 points out of 5th and only 160 points from point leader Steve Francis. Up next for Chub Frank and the 1* Lester Buildings Chevrolet Monte Carlo race team is at Granite City, IL on Sunday, August 1st for the World of Outlaw Late Models first and only Illinois 2004 season appearance at the fast 1/2 mile track of Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, IL. then they move on to Iowa at I-35 Speedway in Mason City, Iowa.
