Bear Lake, PA --- Chub Frank and Chub Frank Racing just completed a two day jaunt through the ‘badlands’ of North Dakota with the Stacker 2 World of Outlaws Late Model Series campaign in his Lester Buildings, Corry Rubber, All Star Performance, Corry Laser, Slavic Corporation, Farr MotorSports, Custom Race Engines, Rocket Chassis #1*

On Friday for the “North Dakota Governor’s Cup 30” at the Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, ND Chubzilla scored a fifth in his heat race and finished 14th after the car suffered a broken oil line during the main event forcing Chubzilla pitside.

On day two at the Red River Valley Speedway Chubzilla scored a second in his heat race Saturday night and then in the dash race McDowell led the first three laps of the event until the caution waved for Shane Clanton who rolled to a stop in turn two with mechanical woes. Chub Frank used the restart to get past McDowell exiting turn four with two laps earning the pole position for the “North Dakota Governor’s Cup 50”. During the main event Chubzilla battled throughout the race and finished fourth when the checkers waved on lap 50.

Chubzilla and the team are now headed for Wisconsin to participate in the crown jewel of Cedar Lake Speedway’s schedule, the 18th ANNUAL USA NATIONALS, that will be staged Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, August 4, 5, and 6 and will pay the winner $40,000. For the first time the event will be sanctioned by the Stacker 2 World of Outlaws Late Model Series. The big weekend starts off Thursday with Late Model practice. The action continues on Friday with time trials, heat races and dashes for the WoO LMS Late Models. Time trials for the WoO LMS cars will be conducted in groups instead of one car at a time. The dashes will take the top finishers in heat races, scramble their starting positions, and their finishing positions will determine the lineup of the front rows for the $40,000 to win feature on Saturday night. Saturday’s finale will include the semi-features and the huge $40,000 to win feature for the WoO LMS portion of the show.
