During the main event Friday night Chubzilla started third in the feature and took the lead on lap three by using the low groove. As the track began to lock down Chubzilla moved to the high side looking for rubber and ran down lapped traffic. As Chubzilla attempted to move down on the track Clint Smith got by first down low as the track locked down thus relegating Chubzilla to a fourth place finish.

In preliminary action Chubzilla qualified third fastest, won his heat race and finished second in the dash.

The Bayou Battle’ presented by RaceCoaches.com and O’Reilly Auto Parts after inclement weather Saturday morning forced the event at Fast Trax Motorplex in Chatham, La., to be canceled. The $45,000 event may be rescheduled for a later date this season.

Next up for Chubzilla and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series will be an April 7 visit to Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa., a site where exciting wheel-to-wheel racing is always expected and where Chubzilla has had much success. Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway in Saluda, Va. will host the stars and cars of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series April 8. The cameras of SPEED will capture all the action at the immaculate facility for broadcast at a later date.
