Chub Frank had a rather successful weekend on the World of Outlaw Stacker
2 Late Model Series tour in two appearances and also competed in a MACS
sanctioned event in which Chubzilla won the main event Saturday night in
his Lester Buildings, Corry Rubber, All Star Performance, Corry Laser,
Slavic Corporation, Farr MotorSports, Custom Race Engines, Rocket Chassis
#1*. On Friday at Twin Cities Raceway Park in North Vernon, IN the World of Outlaws Stacker 2® Late Model Series sanctioned the $10,000 to win “Indiana Labor Day Classic 50” was held with Chubzilla qualifying 12th fastest and finishing third in his heat race. When the checkers waved over the field in the main event Chubzilla scored a second place finish. Frank seemed to be satisfied with his second place run driving the Lester Buildings/Corry Rubber/All Star Performance No. 1* Chub Frank Racing Rocket Chassis/Custom Race Engines Chevrolet Monte Carlo stating, “We were on a little bit harder of tires and the track started to slow down a bit to where we could maneuver around a little bit and start passing. The car would go on the bottom but it really worked good when we ran the top. When I had to pass someone on the bottom it took a little longer but we were real fast on the top.” |

| On Saturday night a night off with the WoO LMS found Chubzilla headed to
Sharon Speedway in Hartford, OH for the MACS sanctioned portion of the
SHARON NATIONALS where Chubzilla qualified eighth fastest in qualifying
and followed that by winning his heat race and placing third in the dash
putting him on the inside of the second row for the feature. After chasing
race leader Bart Hartman throughout the main event Chubzilla managed a
daring last lap pass for the feature win. On Sunday the World of Outlaws Stacker 2® Late Model Series sanctioned $10,000 to win “Bossard GM Store Todd Donovan Memorial 50” at Tri-City Speedway in Franklin, PA was held with Chubzilla qualifying 13th fastest and finishing second in his heat race. Starting fifth in the main event Chubzilla scored a third place finish in the main event. Frank was all smiles after his third place run. “It’s been a good week-end. I can’t complain”, Chubzilla. “Any time you can get a top five against these guys its pretty good. The track was racy but Rick and Steve were fast. I think I needed a few more yellows to where maybe you could’ve made some maneuvers around them on the restarts. Late in the race Steve and I were about equal. I could get in the corner a little later than him but he could get off the corner better. I was moving around trying to find a lane. I’d gain a little bit then lose a little bit and then the lapped traffic. It just depended on what lane you picked. It seemed like he got the right lane about every time and didn’t really have any trouble. I think there was just one car Steve had trouble with and I got right to him but I couldn’t make a move on him. It is what it is but it was good racing.” Prior to the start of the feature event Sunday Chubzilla was a special guest on Dave Despain’s WIND TUNNEL television program for two segments. On Monday evening September 5 Chubzilla will be a special guest on the Dirt Nation™ presented by Lucas Oil radio program airing from 8:00 – 10:00 PM EST at: www.racetalklive.com Up next for Chubzilla will be the renowned WORLD 100 at Eldora Speedway where Chubzilla is the defending race champion. Chubzilla will be making a contribution to the Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort next weekend at the 37th Annual WORLD 100. Chubzilla, through Farr Motorsports and Slavic Custom Shirts & Decals, will be donating 10% of all his apparel sales during the 37th Annual WORLD 100 weekend to the American Red Cross. Chubzilla will have his apparel available at the Slavic Custom Shirts & Decals souvenir trailer located on Eldora’s ‘Souvenir Row’. Additionally, fans will also be able to make donations to the America Red Cross at the Slavic Souvenir Trailer throughout the weekend and beyond. The World of Outlaws Stacker 2® Late Model Series will take a week-end off before a three-day blitz through Illinois and Missouri. The September 16th – 18th events will go a long way in deciding the 2005 World of Outlaws Stacker 2® Late Model Series Championship.
