Chubzilla Returns To Eldora Speedway

Bear Lake, PA --- Chub Frank returned to the mighty high banks of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH this past weekend for the 35th Annual WORLD 100 and while the man known as Chubzilla didn’t repeat as the WORLD 100 winner he neverless turned in a stellar performance by finishing third in his Lester Buildings, Corry Rubber, All Star Performance, Corry Laser, Slavic Corporation, Farr MotorSports, Custom Race Engines, Rocket Chassis #1*.

Chubzilla’s weekend started out well Friday evening when he qualified seventh out of the massive 215 car field. On Saturday Chubzilla won the first heat after starting second which put him into the starting field in the sixth starting slot. When the green flag waved Chubzilla fought a long hard 100 lap battle to the end where he finished the prestigious race in third.

Chubzilla had a busy weekend as he participated in a special autograph session Saturday afternoon at the Lester Buildings booth at the World 100 Trade Show & Fan Fest where a huge crowd swarmed Chubzilla for autographs. Perry Hintz headed up the Lester Buildings display at the trade show. Lester Buildings’ sales rep Tom Ryan sold a Lester Building during the weekend. Lester Buildings executives Larry Lembrich and Tom Borgman were in attendance and were pleasantly surprised to find the famed #1* laid out with an all new color and graphics scheme in Lester Building colors.

New T-Shirts and diecast commemorating the ‘new look’ quickly sold out over the weekend but fans who missed out will be able to get the new design Lester Buildings colors T Shirt soon as Slavic Custom Shirts & Design will be producing additional ones.

Chubzilla made a substantial contribution to the Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort at the 37th Annual WORLD 100 through Farr Motorsports and Slavic Custom Shirts & Decals. Chub Frank Racing donated 10% of all his apparel sales during the 37th Annual WORLD 100 weekend to the American Red Cross. Chubzilla had his apparel available at the Slavic Custom Shirts & Decals souvenir trailer located on Eldora’s ‘Souvenir Row’.

The World of Outlaws Stacker 2® Late Model Series will be back in action this weekend for a three-day blitz through Illinois and Missouri. The September 16th – 18th events will go a long way in deciding the 2005 World of Outlaws Stacker 2® Late Model Series Championship. Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach,IL starts the week-end Friday, September 16th followed by I-55 Speedway in Pevely,MO Saturday, September 17th and the Springfield Mile at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield,IL Sunday, September 18th.
