Bear Lake, PA --- Chub Frank and Chub Frank Racing has continued a torrid pace on the road as the eastern road trip swing with the Stacker 2 World of Outlaws Late Model Series continues in earnest as the team participated in three more WoO LMS events at Delaware International Speedway and Hagerstown Speedway in his Lester Building Products, Corry Rubber, All Star Performance, Corry Laser, Slavic Corporation, Farr MotorSports, Rocket Chassis Monte Carlo #1.

At Delaware on Thursday Chubzilla timed in tenth quickest during qualifying and scored a second place finish in his heat and a sixth place finish in the feature event
Before the tour moved on for a two day stint at Hagerstown Speedway in Maryland where on Friday for the Stanley Schetrompf Memorial Chubzilla clocked in third fastest and was able to cross the checkers for the main event in fourth.

On Saturday Chubzilla and team returned to Hagerstown for their 58th Anniversary Race under the Stacker 2 WoO LMS banner. Timing in second fastest in time trials Chubzilla got hot by winning his heat race before lining up for a race-long battle in the main event. During the 58-lap feature event Chubzilla was able to lead some laps but Tim McCreadie was able to get passed on lap eight as Chubzilla attacked the cushion which resulted in packing the right rear wheel with clay and throwing balance of the wheel out of kilter.

“That made a pretty serious vibration,” Frank said. “At a hundred and something miles per hour, a ‘little out of balance’ becomes a pretty serious vibration.” While Chubzilla spent the majority of the remaining laps of the race inches away from McCreadie he was unable to get past until lap 26 when McCreadie went too high. By lap 30 the car developed a push in the handling forcing Chubzilla to the low groove where lapped cars eventually hampered his efforts and allowed the McCreadie to take the lead again.

“I got behind a couple cars and they held me up,” commented Chubzilla. “He was better in traffic and he got back by me. He could get through the cars better than I could. I couldn't tell you where our car was the best. We ended up racing all over and without a stop watch or time sheets, I couldn't tell you what felt fast and what actually was.”

“I’ll say we’re happy with second,” Frank said. “But, we would have liked to have won it.”

The Stacker 2 WoO LMS eastern swing will conclude at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, OH on Tuesday, July 12th.
