Chubzilla To Race The ‘Lester Buildings Car At Springfield Mile

Bear Lake, PA --- Chub Frank fans who might not have been in attendance at the recent 35th Annual World 100 to see the new color scheme and graphics package on Chubzilla’s famed #1* will get a second chance on Sunday September 18 when circumstances will force Chubzilla to bring it out one more time. Due to a basic lack of time this week and with a midweek departure for a three-race World of Outlaw Stacker 2 Late Model Series swing the ‘Lester Buildings’ Rocket Chassis #1* will see action one more time Sunday at the Illinois State Fair Grounds in Springfield, Illinois for the 14th Annual Best Western Illinois Fall Nationals. This will be the 14th year for the annual event on the famous one-mile dirt oval at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, IL.

New this year will be the addition of the World of Outlaw Stacker2 Series along with the UMP Late Models. This co-sanctioned event will showcase the nation’s best dirt late model drivers on one of the country’s most famous ovals. Sunday, September 18th the grandstand ticket office will open at 8:30 a.m.; pit gates will open at 7:00 a.m., practice will begin at 10:00 a.m., Late Model qualifying will be at 11:00 a.m., and the racing action will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Chubzilla’s weekend starts out with the World of Outlaws Stacker 2® Late Model Series for a three-day blitz through Illinois and Missouri. The September 16th – 18th events will go a long way in deciding the 2005 World of Outlaws Stacker 2® Late Model Series Championship. Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach,IL starts the week-end Friday, September 16th followed by I-55 Speedway in Pevely,MO Saturday, September 17th and finally the aforementioned Springfield Mile at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
