Bear Lake, PA --- Chub ‘Chubzilla’ Frank and the 1* Lester Buildings, Corry Rubber, All Star Performance, Corry Laser, Slavic Corporation, Farr MotorSports, Lake Shore Paving, Custom Race Engines, Rocket Chassis team swept World of Outlaws Late Model Series (WoO LMS) action at Tri-City Speedway in Franklin, PA Sunday evening by winning the $10,000 to win Oil Region Labor Day Weekend Classic main event in addition to winning the dash and his heat race.

“We really didn’t have the winning car tonight, but it don’t matter,” said Chubzilla to the WoO LMS P.R. rep. “They paid me the money.” Chubzilla won the race coming off turn four to pass Billy Moyer for the win in a brand-new Lester Buildings Rocket No. 1*. “I really didn’t think my car was all that good.”

“Those last five laps (Moyer) started slowing down, and that just gave me a chance.” Chubzilla started on the pole but faded early to third before heading back to the front. “On the last lap I was thinking, If he just leaves me that top (in turn three), I’m gonna hammer it in one time around there on the cushion and hope it don’t flip over.”

The win Sunday was Chubzilla’s seventh career WoO LMS victory.

The WoO LMS returned to Tri-City Speedway on Monday Labor Day for the second program where he finished third despite some front-end suspension woes after winning his heat race.

Chubzilla will spend the rest of the week preparing for this weekend’s WORLD 100 At Eldora Speedway where he will try to return to victory lane. Chubzilla won the crown jewel event in 2004.
