Chub & The Renegade DirtCar Racing Series returned to one of the series "cornerstone" facilities, Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, MD. for the running of the $10,000 to win "55th Anniversary Stanley Schetrompf Memorial 55". Chub is the Renegade DirtCar Racing Series defending event winner.

Chub and the 1* team brought back the same car that won this event last year with a few changes and a brand new body. Having just picked it up on Sunday at Rocket Chassis the crew burned the midnight oil all week to get it back together on time for the "55th Anniversary Stanley Schetrompf Memorial 55". The $42,000 event drew 56 drivers for the event. Chub qualified 20th and wasn’t real happy with the way the car performed and made a few changes for his heat race in which he finished 4th and that transferred him into the 55 lap main event starting 16th. Chub quickly started moving to the front getting into the top 10 by the 4th lap. When he was running 3 wide he got bumped in the left rear and damaged a rear suspension component and hung on and brought the Corry Rubber, Corry Laser, Nystrom’s Auto Sales, Draime Racing Engines, Rocket Chassis, Pierotti Motorsports, Farr MotorSports, Chevrolet Monte Carlo home to finish 16th. The top 5 in tonight’s event were 1st. Rick Aukland, 2nd.Steve Francis 3rd D.J. Myers, 4th. Randle Chupp 5th. Rick Eckert.
