The holiday weekend kicked off back at the racetrack that it all began at for Chub the defending two-time Renegade DirtCar Racing Series Champion at Stateline Speedway in Busti, NY. just a little over 4 miles from Chub's home in Bear Lake, PA. Jerry Frank Chub's father still prepares the 1/3-mile slightly banked speedway for Owner/promoter Francis Seamen's. Before Chub began his racing career he would help his dad get the racing surface ready for the weekend races at Stateline. Seamen's presented the $7,000 to win "Stars and Stripes 50" tonight at Stateline Speedway. Tonight's event is the only 2002 appearance of the Renegade DirtCar Racing Series in the state of New York. In 11 previous visits to the 1/3rd mile track, Chub has won two renegade Series Races at Stateline prior to tonight's event.
