"Chub Returns to McKean County Raceway"

Bear Lake, PA – When Chub Frank captured the Renegade Dirt Car Racing Series sanctioned “Hazen Jordan Memorial 50” at McKean County Raceway back on June 28 he soon learned the importance and impact that Hazen Jordan had and meant to McKean County Raceway’s racing community and family. On the ride back to his Bear Lake, PA race shop Frank decided it was only appropriate that the family of the late Hazel Jordan, a long-time and valued MCR staff member, take ownership of the trophy that was presented to Frank in victory lane by MCR promoter Dennis Shutt and the Jordan family. Frank made a call to Shutt.

“I hope Mr. Frank does come to McKean County Raceway,” stated Shutt earlier last week when Frank informed Shutt that he would be competing in MCR’s July 19 program and in the meantime he would send the trophy back via Chub Frank Racing crew member Rick Briggs. “Chub wants the Jordan family to have it. I have phoned the family and have asked them to be at MCR on Saturday. I think they will be there. It will be great if Mr. Frank presents the trophy himself. This is such a class move by Mr. Frank that it needs to be done in front of the fans.”

Frank had decided to race at McKean County Raceway on Saturday night July 19 and present the trophy to the Hazen Jordan family in person.

“It was an honor to have Mr. Frank personally give the trophy to the Jordan family,” stated Shutt late Saturday evening. “That was a class act. Those of you that knew Mr. Jordan Hazen, know that he didn't like to lose. A true champion, just as Mr. Frank is.”

Saturday evening Frank started third in his heat race and finished second which lined him up in the ninth starting position. Frank crossed the checkers in the second finishing position.
