Atlanta, GA. --- Chub Frank and the Corry Rubber, Allstar Performance, Nystrom's Auto Sales, Draime Racing Engines, Rocket Chassis, Pierotti Motorsports, Slavic Racing Shirts, Farr MotorSports, Chevrolet Monte Carlo 1* team made the trek westward to the mighty high banks of Eldora Speedway for the 10th annual DREAM race during Eldora’s 50th anniversary on Thursday. On Friday the weather had other plans other than racing as hard rain storms settled in and brought out flood warnings and caused a postponement of the $100,000.00 to win race for the night. Earl Baltes decided that they could do it in one day starting on Saturday morning. Saturday morning the weather stayed around a little longer than expected and slowed the events down until after 5:00 pm when they sent all 144 cars out on the track to pack it in, and shortly after 7:00 they started qualifying the 144 cars with 1 lap of qualifying.

Chub ended up qualifying his 1* in 8th quickest out of all 144 cars and driver registered for the event, that put Chub in the 2nd heat race out of 6 heat races starting in 3rd position where they only take 3 out of each heat race. Chubzilla roared through the ultra-fast turns of Eldora’s spacious ½ mile clay surface to finish second behind Dan Schlieper. Chub now starts 8th for tonight’s $100,000.00 to win DREAM. They started the main event at a little after 1:00 am and when the first caution flew on lap 6, Chub was running in 7th place, a red flag was thrown on lap 33 for Shane Clanton who flipped while running in second and Chub was now in 6th position, on lap 70 Chub was still running in 6th when the checkered flag flew at a little after 2:00 am Chub brought the Corry Rubber, Allstar Performance, Nystrom's Auto Sales, Draime Racing Engines, Rocket Chassis, Pierotti Motorsports, Slavic Racing Shirts, Farr MotorSports, Chevrolet Monte Carlo 1* home with a 5th place finish to equal his 2000 dream finish. The top 10 were 1. Scott Bloomquist 2. Rick Eckert 3. R.J. Conley 4. Dan Schlieper 5. Chub Frank 6. Chris Madden 7. Tim McCreadie 8. Bart Hartman 9. Jimmy Owens 10. Randall Chupp.
