Rain Shortens Renegade Race At Muskingum !

A doubleheader of racing action is on tap for Chub Frank Racing and the Renegade DirtCar Racing Series over the 3 day holiday week-end as the Ohio-based sanctioning organization visit's Muskingum County Speedway near Zanesville, OH tonight and back again on Monday May 27 for the Memorial Day 35 lap event. Muskingum County Speedway owner/promoter Ronald Moran will present the $7,500 to win "9th Annual Dunn/Hartman/Lutz/Tanner Memorial 50" tonight at his semi-banked 4/10ths mile oval. A $2,500 bonus has been posted by Pepsi of Zanesville making the winners share a cool $10,000 from the more than $31,000 purse for tonight’s event.  Chub & the 1* Corry Rubber Corporation, Corry Laser Technology, Nystrom’s Auto Sales, Rocket Chassis, Paul & Pudge Pierotti Motorsports, Performance Friction, Ringers Gloves, Chevrolet Monte Carlo team qualified 5th out of 47 cars entered which put Chub in the first heat where he finished 5th they take 4 so now Chub and the 1* go into the first B-main for tonight’s race. Chub won the B-main and now he starts 17th for the 50 lap main event. Chub drove the Corry Rubber Corporation, Corry Laser Technology, Nystrom’s Auto Sales, Rocket Chassis, Paul & Pudge Pierotti Motorsports, Performance Friction, Ringers Gloves, Chevrolet Monte Carlo up to 11th position before the rains came on lap 37 and the race was called, it was kind of a good thing as Chub had a left rear tire going flat and he could of finished worse. Bart Hartman won with John Mason second, Steve Shaver third, Mark Banal forth and Mike Balzano rounded out the top 5.  

Next up for Chub will be tomorrow night at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH for the ALMS race.
