Frank Win's Baja At McKean County!

May 4, 2002 - Bear Lake, Pa.

Chub Frank and the 1* Corry Rubber Corporation, Corry Laser Technology, Nystrom's Auto Sales, Rocket Chassis, Paul & Pudge Pierotti Motorsports, Design 500, Flinner Sign's & Decal's rocket traveled to McKean County Speedway in East Smethport, Pa where it hosted it's Hub City Late Model Qualifier. The Late Model winner tonight receives a guaranteed starting spot in the 28th Annual Hub City Race of Champions held on September 20th & 21st later this season at Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, MD, and with tonight's 40 lap race paying $3000.00 to win Chub decided that it would be another good track to test on as the reports he received earlier this week was that the track was rough and he wanted to try some new setup's for a rough track.

The crew unloaded the 1* Corry Rubber Corporation, Corry Laser Technology, Nystrom's Auto Sales, Rocket Chassis, Paul & Pudge Pierotti Motorsports for tonight's event at McKean County Speedway where he lined up in the 3rd heat in the 9th Position where he finished 1st, so he started 8th in the feature event.

The track was extremely rough tonight which is what Chub was looking for tonight to try out a different setup for rough tracks. Chub raced with Todd Andrews for the lead for the first 8 laps then took led on the 9th lap for good and drove away from the rest of the field and went on to win by more than 4 seconds. Chub won tonight's 40 lap ULMS sanctioned Hub City Late Model Qualifier feature event by a full straight-away over Dick Barton who finished 2nd, Todd Andrews was 3rd and Mike Blose was 4th. Chub said that this setup is pretty good and that's what we were trying to find out this weekend.

Next up will be next Friday & Saturday at Florence Speedway in Union, KY.
