Chub Frank Stays Close to Home for Mothers Day Weekend

Bear Lake, PA --- Defending Renegade Dirt Car Racing Series champion Chub Frank, driver of the Corry Rubber, Corry Laser, Nystrom's Auto Sales, Draime Racing Engines, Rocket Chassis, Pierotti Motorsports, Farr MotorSports Chevrolet Monte Carlo decided to stay close to home for the weekend and race at the highly competitive Raceway 7. Then do a little testing with virtually no time to test new products or try new setups in the upcoming months; this was the weekend for it.
 
 With over 30 cars on hand at Raceway 7 Chub started 9th in the 3rd heat race and had to drop out of the heat with a leaking oil line. The Chubzilla crew repaired the leak and Chub lined up the 1* Corry Rubber, Corry Laser, Nystrom's Auto Sales, Monte Carlo in last place for the last chance race, by the 5th lap Chub broke into the top 5 and on the 7th lap took the lead which he never relinquished and went on to win the last chance race. For The Bolt Place Late Models feature He lined up in 19th in the feature, Chub charged into the top 10 by the 7th lap and continued his charge to the front, he was running in the top 5 after 25 laps were completed, he finished 6th. Robbie Blair won the event for the second week in a row.
 
With Stateline Speedway in Busti, Ny. racing on Saturday night and just minutes away from home Chub decided to go and Race there where he would finish 7th from starting 21st in the 26 car field. After taking Mothers Day off Chub and The Renegade DirtCar Racing Series will return to action Saturday, May 17 at Jim Nier's KC Raceway located near Chillicothe, OH for the $7,000 to win "10th Annual Night The Stars Come Out 40". The Renegade series sanctioned program offers a purse of $32,000 for the marquee event, which will also feature an All Star Circuit of Champions/NCRA Sprint Car CO-sanctioned program at the renovated high-banked 3/8ths mile track.
 
The Renegade DirtCar Racing Series May 24 event originally scheduled at Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, OH that was removed from the schedule Monday, May 5 is now BACK ON! After reconsideration by Muskingum County Speedway owner/promoter Ron Moran and Renegade DirtCar Racing Series president, Rick Gross agreement was reached to place the $32,500 purse event back on the 2003 schedule.

The next scheduled event for Chub Frank Racing is
Friday May 16th at Raceway 7 in Conneaut, OH.
Then May 17th at KC Raceway for the Renegade DirtCar Racing Series.
