Chub Travel’s to Mid West and moves up in World of Outlaw point Standings

Chub Frank and the 1* team made the long trip from Batesville Ark. to Fargo N.D. on Sunday May 9^th for the World of Outlaw race at Red River Speedway on Wednesday night then on Monday afternoon they canceled the entire show due to the weather. With nothing to do until Friday night May 14^th at Eagle Raceway in Lincoln Nebraska Chub decided to head out of Fargo to Lincoln NB. and get some much needed rest and work on the car hauler.

On Friday Chub and the 1* team unloaded the Corry Rubber, Allstar Performance, Nystrom's Auto Sales, Draime Racing Engines, Rocket Chassis, Pierotti Motorsports, Slavic Racing Shirts, Farr MotorSports, Chevrolet Monte Carlo #1* for qualifying out of 33 cars entered. Chub ran 4^th in the second heat race and finished the night with a 5^th place finish in the 60-lap World of Outlaws Late Model Series feature at Eagle Raceway on Friday night.

On Saturday May 15^th the team headed across Iowa to Farley Speedway in Farley Iowa where the team unloaded for the World of Outlaws final night of the Midwest tour. Chub qualified 16^th out of 37 drivers that were entered for the 50 lap a main. Chub was running 5^th when the yellow came out on lap 16, on the restart he quickly moved into second place and would continue to hold that spot until lap 48 when Darren Miller took second from Chub and he went on to finish third for two good nights for points and moving him into 6^th in the 2004 World of Outlaw points race. "We were holding our own until Darren got around us, the car was too tight and I just couldn't run up on the top side with those guys it was a good weekend for points” remarked Chub.

Chub and The World of Outlaws Late Model Series next event is

June 19th at Thunder Valley Raceway in Central City, Pennsylvania.
