“CHUBZILLA STORMS INTO NAT’L DIRT LATE MODEL HALL OF FAME”

November 14, 2003

Bear Lake, PA --- Famed dirt Late Model racing sensation Chub Frank of Bear Lake, PA, the defending and first 4-time Renegade Dirt Car Racing Series champion on record, capped off his 25th anniversary season with the notification that Chubzilla, as he is affectionately known to his thousands of fans, has been inducted into the Class of 2004 of the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame.

“In a way I really haven’t had much time to think about it because we’re so busy over here with the disaster the weather caused lately but it makes me feel older than I really am (laughs)!” chuckled the friendly and popular driver. Frank was inducted into the Masters II category for drivers with a minimum of 25 years in the sport. Frank was inducted with southern star driver Ronnie Johnson. “I know Ronnie and I feel I’m in good company. Ronnie has been around forever, a lot longer than I have probably.”

Frank had a successful season in 2003 driving his Corry Rubber/Allstar Performance/Nystrom's Auto Sales/Draime Racing Engines/Rocket Chassis/Carrera Shocks/Pierotti Motorsports/Farr MotorSports Chevrolet Monte Carlo #1* to a record-setting and unprecedented fourth Renegade Dirt Car Racing Series championship title.

“For all of that it’s a pretty good year,” commented Frank. “If it wasn’t for the weather we would have had a better year but as far as these honors go it has definitely been a real good year. No one has ever won four in a row and to be elected into the Hall of Fame, that is definitely an honor!”

The NDLMHOF Induction Ceremony for the Class of 2004 will be held in August 2004 at Florence Speedway near Union, KY during the annual ‘North-South 100’ weekend racing festivities.

For the immediate future though Frank and his crew are busy preparing a new car for the PRI Show in Indianapolis that will be held from December 4-6.

During the team’s weekend in Indianapolis they will be honored as the defending champion will sit at the head table during the Renegade DirtCar Racing Series annual awards banquet, just part of his special night for securing the 2003 Renegade DirtCar Racing Series championship, which he also accomplished in 2000, 2001 and 2002. Frank will receive his point fund money of $25,000 along with the champion’s trophy and gold ring plus a multitude of series sponsors contingency awards. Frank started all 27 feature events on the Renegade trail chalking up a series leading 7 victories, 17 top 5 finishes and 22 Top 10 finishes and completing 1716 laps out of a possible 1720 and 0 DNFs.
