ChubZilla Clinches His 3rd

DirtCar Series Championship

getting rained out Friday during the 2nd heat race in which
Chub was leading by a straight a way The
Renegade Dirt Car Series picked up where it left off for the Renegade
Dirt Car series sanctioned
$10,000 to win "Big Kahuna II 50" at
"The Rock" Allegany County Speedway in Cumberland, MD.

Rubber, Corry Laser,
Nystrom’s Auto Sales, Draime Racing
Engines, Rocket Chassis,
Pierotti Motorsports, Farr MotorSports, Chevrolet Monte Carlo in 14th
out of 83 drivers entered
for the "Big Kahuna
50" at Allegany County Speedway. Chub lined up in the 2nd
position in the 2nd heat and went on to win the heat race
that put him in 8th position for the "Big Kahuna 50" main
event during the a-main Chub had to pit for a mechanical problems with
the car on the 9th lap and rejoined the field starting 24th
and worked his way back into the top 15 to clinch his 3rd
Renegade DirtCar Series Championship. The top 5 finishers for tonight
were 1st Rick Eckert, 2nd Earl Pierson, 3rd
John Flinner, 4th Steve Shaver and 5th Davey
Johnson. In route to his 3rd consecutive Renegade
Dirt Car Series Championship
Chub recorded 5 wins, 14 top 5’s, 23 top 10’s, 29 top 15’s, and 31
top 20’s and no D.N.F.’s, at 35 races in 11 different states. He
also won 8 heat races, 1 dash, 4 b-mains, and was awarded the hard
charger of the race 3 times. Chub took the point lead back from Mike
Balzano back on July 20th at Farley, Iowa and never looked
back. Chub is only the second driver to win 3 consecutive Renegade
Dirt Car Series Championship’s
in the 19-year history of the series. Chub was quick to thank all the
