Chub and the Lester Buildings Team

Chub Frank and the Lester Building 1* team made their first and only appearance at West Virginia Motor Speedway this past weekend October 1st & 2nd in Mineral Well, WV with The World of Outlaw Dirt Late Model series and co sanctioned with The Mid-Atlantic Championship Series (MACS). The best late model drivers in the country came together to race at West Virginia Motor Speedway for the Charter Communications Race Fest 2004 event purse valued at over $135,000 in total purse money.

On Friday the 1* Lester Building team unloaded the Lester Buildings, Corry Rubber, Allstar Performance, Nystrom's Auto Sales, Pierotti Motorsports, Rocket Chassis, and prepared for the nights big event at West Virginia Motor Speedway for qualifying, 70 cars were on hand and Chub qualified 6th quick starting him in the 6th heat race starting 4th, Chub finished 3rd and that would transfer Chub to the Charter Communications 50 lap main event starting in 8th place on the starting grid. Chub finished the 50 lap main event in 4th place behind winner Jackie Boggs 2nd Bart Hartman, 3. Steve Francis, 4. Chub Frank, 5. Dan Schlieper.

On Saturday the 1* Lester Building team unloaded the same car from Friday night and prepared for the nights big event at West Virginia Motor Speedway for qualifying, 62 cars were on hand and Chub qualified 13th quick starting him in the 1st heat race. Chub finished 3rd in the heat and that would transfer Chub to the $15,000 to win Charter Communications Race Fest 100 main event. On the 13th lap the first caution flew for Chub who had stopped coming out of the second turn with a broken rear suspension and he retired from the Charter Communications Race Fest 100 main.

Chub and the Lester Building 1* team are now headed to Fulton Speedway in Fulton, New York for Saturday October 9. Then back to Bear Lake to work on the 1* Lester Building race shop that’s currently under construction.
