Chub Frank made Renegade DirtCar Racing Series history this week-end at Winchester Speedway in Winchester, VA. The three-time defending Renegade DirtCar Racing Series champion sewed up a record-breaking fourth consecutive series crown by finishing one position better than second place in points Mike Balzano in the $12,000 to win "40th Annual Winchester 200" held Friday and Saturday at the northern Virginia 3/8ths mile speedway.

Chub qualified the Corry Rubber, Slavic Custom T – Shirts, Nystrom’s Auto Sales, Draime Racing Engines, Rocket Chassis, Pierotti Motorsports, Farr MotorSports, Monte Carlo in 14th out of 62 drivers entered for the "40th Annual Winchester 200" at Winchester Speedway. Chub lined up in the 2nd position in the 2nd heat and went on to win the heat race securing an 8th starting position for the “Winchester 200" main event. During the A-main, Chub advanced to 7th place before the rain came on the 25th lap of the 100 lap main event, forcing officials to postpone the event and resume it on Sunday night, September 28. The 1* lined up behind Bart Hartman, Tom Myers, Davey Johnson, Todd Andrews and Paul Wilmoth Jr., and Rob Blair; with Booper Bare, Andy Anderson and Mike Balzano right behind him filling out the top 10. At the completion of the 75th lap, Hartman was leading with Johnson in 2nd, Tom Myers 3rd, Chub in 4th, and Robbie Blair rounding out the top 5 when a slight rain shower began to fall again tonight. After an hour delay they restarted the race with 25 laps to go with Hartman still leading Johnson and Tom Meyers. Before the checkers waved, Robbie Blair got by Chub for 4th, dropping Chub to 5th, while Mike Balzano rounded out the top 6; and that’s the way they finished “the Winchester 200.” With Chub’s 5th place finish, 1 position ahead of Mike Balzano, Chub clinches The 2003 Renegade DirtCar Points Championship for the 4th year in a row and setting the record for consecutive Renegade Championship wins!

En route to his 4th consecutive Renegade Dirt Car Series Championship, Chub recorded 7 wins, 16 top 5’s, 21 top 10’s, 25 top 15’s, and 26 top 20’s and no (0) D.N.F.’s, and completed 1616 out of a possible 1620 laps at 26 races in 8 different states. He also won 7 heat races, 2 dashes, 2 b-mains, and was awarded the hard charger of the race 3 times in the Renegade Series. Chub took the point lead back on May 3rd at the "Battle at Brushcreek 50" at Brushcreek Motorsports Complex near Peebles, OH. and never looked back. Chub is the only driver to ever win 4 consecutive Renegade Dirt Car Series Championship’s in the 20-year history of the series. Chub was quick to thank all the support he has received from Mary, his sponsors, family, and friends throughout the years; a special thanks to Rick (Boom) Briggs “without his help, I wouldn’t be in this position, Boom has always been there when I needed his help. This has been a very exciting year for this team and I really appreciate everyone’s help and support, Thank You”.
